What do Tork, Apple, Nike & Porsche have in Common?
All of these four international brands have launched innovative products designed by renowned Swedish designer, Thomas Meyerhoffer. In the case of Tork, it’s the recently introduced Tork Elevation range of dispensers. The stylish range was inspired by nature. Each of the thirty dispensers is based on organic natural shapes and is simple and clean in design.
The Tork Elevation dispenser range sets a new benchmark in design and functional excellence, as demonstrated by recent award wins. A win of a highly regarded, international design award such as the IF Awards or Red Dot Awards, announces a product of global standing in terms of product design and functionality. It’s significant that Tork Elevation is backed by not one, but both these awards.
The prestigious International Forum (iF) product design award is Europe’s biggest industrial design competition. Established in 1953, the iF design award has become a benchmark for outstanding design. This year in Hannover, Germany the competition attracted more than 2,800 product entries from around 39 nations. Only entries that were judged the best in their category received the iF award, based not only on outward design, but also on functionality, environmental consciousness, ease of use and innovation.
Tork Elevation also received a Red Dot 2009 product design award. With more than 12,000 submissions from 60 countries, the international Red Dot design award is the largest and most renowned design competition in the world. Judged by a jury of designers, products earning a Red Dot award, demonstrate superior design, functionality, degree of innovation and formal quality.
