New Australian National DC is now open

We are pleased to let you know that Essity's new Australian National Distribution Centre (NDC), based in Truganina, Melbourne is now fully operational.


This significant investment and upgrade to the supply network is designed to deliver a consistent experience and support the ongoing growth of our business.


The large, fit-for-purpose NDC is a critical international supply link for essential goods into Australasia, as well as the exchange of locally made goods between Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Islands.


The new facility boasts three times the storage capacity of the previous site, with purpose-built layout and racking, and best-in-class warehouse management technology.


The National Distribution Centre also supports Essity’s transition to a low-carbon economy through sustainable design.


Sustainable Design Features:

  • Australian made Silverline pallet racking supports local manufacturing and a reduction in transport emissions of over 100T CO2e
  • 99kw solar system on site
  • Rainwater harvesting system on site to reduce water consumption
  • Energy efficient LED sensor lighting and window glazing with tint


We will continue to communicate with distributors about the enhancements we are making to our supply network to improve their experience with Essity.
